Jenn's Reverie

Freaky Friday

I work for the Sheriff's Department and not only was our police helicopter shot down just days ago, but tonight a man shot and killed two police officers. They were on their way to pick up a mental health patient. I don't yet know if they are officers that I knew.

RIP and God bless their families, friends and loved ones.

Someone won the lottery out here, but they don't know it. Still no one calling with the winning ticket. YOU WON THE LOTTERY, DOUCHEBAG! Look at your damn tickets! It's 93 million dollars! If you don't need it, hand over the ticket, bitches.

Sorry to go off topic, but I didn't know if you'd go back to the post. There are seemingly lots of bad kitty clothing sites - google the name & look around for those pajamas - I cannot find the exact page in my 3 minute search.

An example:

Oh, shit. I didn't even read the topic or the post before I mentioned the pajamas. I just read the post now. Seems dumb & unsensative to have posted it. I apologize.

I have had my share of run ins with the cops, but I have always looked at it as nothing personal - just a cat and mouse game. Therefore, I always morun a loss of any officers. My condolences.

Hopefully, they catch the guy (if it wasn't the mentally ill guy). IF so, that's a tough one.

Best wishes to you & your department.

7:32 AM

morun = moron = me.

I meant to say mourn.

7:33 AM

Wow, I'm sorry to hear about any office getting shot, much less a friend of yours. That's a little too close to home for my comfort zone.

7:40 AM

Thanks, guys.

Rat, it wasn't insensitive. I did yell at the dumb lotto winner after.

It was the mentally ill guy. I'll be posting more on it later. The information I have now can't be shared it. Still "sensitive information" and not yet public.

Sometimes I feel like we live in the wild-west in this country. I'm a bouncer in a bar in Newark, NJ and each night one or two people try to bring guns into the bar. I usually don't say anything - not because I don't have a gun - but because it is a huge cop bar. The owner approves of this policy.

What kind of a country has people who shoot down helicopters for the hell of it? . . . Iraq? OK, I'm not going any farther into that idea.

7:57 AM

Hey split a few mill this way would ya?

My god, and I thought my days usually sucked big floppy donkey dick. All I can say is I respect and appreciate the law enformement community to the fullest and it is in fact a sad day when any die in the line of duty.

Even if you didn't know them my sympathies go out to you and your department.

8:12 AM

Hate to post something not about your post Jenn, but, umm, bad news, got to Melanies site.

8:26 AM

great blog you have here. by the way, you are absolutely gorgeous.

9:18 AM

There isn't enough money in the world to pay me to put on a gun and a badge. I respect good officers more than about anyone else. Which is why a few bad apples REALLY pisses me off.
God bless the families and give them peace.

9:31 AM

In an update to one of my previous posts, I heard that they arrested the man that shot down the helicopter. Jason Kearns, a former Marine, was a helicopter technician.

Do you have an update to the condition of the deputy in the heli? I heard that the pilot has quit flying, due to being shot down.

Sorry to hear about the other officers. I have friends and family that are officers, that just sucks.

9:55 AM

Sorry to hear about the loss of the Officers lives, Jenn.

I support the police completely and am planning on becoming a reservist when I get back to SA, just to help them out in any way I can.

Thats one of the reasons I wanna smack Jez's ugly mug in, he HATES cops and think they are all racist and violent. (Yes, he IS a wanker)

Hope its not people you know...

10:09 AM

As much as my run ins with the law have left me with sour tastes in my mouth when it comes to the law, it still saddens me to hear about their demise. It's an anomoly. For every good cop, you have a good criminal and, sometimes, the bad guys win...

11:57 AM

Jenn -- that sucks. It just sucks. I wish I could say something else, but I think everyone has said it all. My condolences to your department...

1:33 PM

my uncle, father and several cousins were all in law enforcement, my uncle for 30 years in the LAPD..its a hard, thankless job for which they do not get paid enough to risk their lives on a daily and sometimes hourly basis.

1:37 PM

I am holding that winning ticket Jenn, now do you love me?

2:25 PM

Shooting down a Police helicopter is pure metal! I hate seing the bad guys get caught because they can't out run a chopper. The cops are always so arrogant looks like they got a little bit of cumuppins on this one...

2:56 PM

Well Jenn as you know, The billster was a police officer himself. To see one of my fellow fuzz go down is a horrific ordeal on any account. It's a shame, but then again when we all took that job we knew what was going on. That's why I always say you should love me so much now Jenn, because you never know when my days of walking the beat could come to an abrupt end. RIP Bufford Pusser.

3:22 PM

if i win the lotto i'll share with you. but right now i'm about as broke as a homeless person. so that doesn't do either of us much good.

5:18 PM

That's really sad to hear, Jenn. The people that go out of their way every day putting their lives on the line for us are amazing. It darknens my soul just thinking of what I'd do to someone that took their lives.

I keep thinking that people that buy these lottery tickets don't expect to win and don't check them as soon as the numbers are announced. But, maybe if they charged them 1% or so for delays and donate it to a worthwhile charity.

5:38 PM

Don't go all thug ganster on him, Jenn. As much as the image of you in some sultry prison video may be exciting, the real thing may be less exciting.

8:58 PM

Haha now I have that Ice Cube song "Ghetto Bird" stuck in my head........."Run, run run from the ghetto bird"

11:38 PM

Jenn:
I'm sory to hear about the officers and I hope everyone
you know is safe.

2:21 AM

You know, I'm always amazed at the bravery those guys have. I mean, cops know what they're getting in to, and they do it anyway. For us. It makes me feel like a shit for ever talking bad about them...

9:57 AM

Honestly...stop playing the damn lottery if you're not going to be sitting on the edge of your rocker waiting for the numbers...like the rest of us fools!
