Cutting The Cord
So I get to start house shopping this weekend. Yup, that's right. I thought I was only gonna rent an apartment, maybe a house. Turns out I'll be having one built. Well, unless I find one that's already built that I like. I'm fucking extactic! I should be in the new place by the end of June after the next three weddings.
Oh, and for those that know how much I love (hate) pink, just so you could make fun of me, looks like I'll be wearing a champagne colored dress for my brother's wedding. Yes, champagne = a very light pink, bitches! But I'm getting a house, so what?!

Thats so cool that you will own a place! We're moving out of our dingy little flat as well...can't wait to have a backyard for my daughter to run in.

Vavoom, I've tried to not think about closing and such because I'll just stress.
Boko, I'm so excited about a yard for my son. Right now we have a 1/2 acre, but the Mesa (neverending field) is right behind us and I don't like him to play back there. I'm gonng get pets!! A big dog (preferably a Boxer), and a smaller one for inside.

Nothing helps get over the champagne colored dress than having a house built. You get to choose options, put your own creative touch on things as they are being built and be the first one to enjoy it. Is there a "new house" smell?

Andrew, he's too hyper and will knock Damian over. I've been trying to train him and have made some progress. I want a puppy to raise that way he'll just learn as he/she's growing.

Congrats Jennifer! You've won a brand new home! And in such short notice, that's awesome. Don't forget to send me an invite to the housewarming party. I can scrape up some change and get you some new napkin rings or something.
Quit bitching about having to wear pink. It could be worse: at least it's not champagne colored taffeta or something. Why can't you be optimistic like me?
